Charlottesville's voter registrar was sworn in to office Wednesday morning. Sheri Iachetta took the oath in front of Charlottesville Circuit Court.
Iachetta was recently re-appointed to the post by the city's electoral board. She has been the registrar since 1999 and has brought electronic voting machines and poll books to city voters.
Iachetta stated, "There's a lot of things going on. You know a lot of things changing in the voting industry, the machines, the technology and just a lot of things going on."
Iachetta says she will continue outreach efforts by getting into the community and schools. She was re-appointed to serve another four years.
