As George Allen tries to snag a U.S. Senate nomination, his wife was out Tuesday night doing her part to prevent breast cancer.
Susan Allen was up on Carter Mountain, sipping Prince Michel wine with ladies from the Women's Four Miler.
The event is already completely filled up but the organization is trying to raise $400,000 for its cause. This is only a taste of a busy schedule for Virginia's former first lady.
"I love Virginia just as much as my husband and I'm just privileged to go along on the ride with him, when he was elected to governor, Congress and to the U.S. Senate and I know he's the best man to go back and fight for Virginia in the U.S. Senate in 2012," she said.
Allen says she has friends and family that have been affected by breast cancer and this is a great cause to support. About 40 people braved the weather to help Tuesday night.
