Two men are facing prison time Monday night after being involved in a massive meth trafficking operation in Albemarle County.
Darlin Antonio Rodriguez-Recinos and Israel Espinoza-Chavez will not only be spending the next few years in jail but both also face deportation back to Mexico.
Months ago, both men pleaded guilty to taking part in a conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine.
It was one of the largest sources for meth in the central Virginia area, funneled through the Southwood Mobile Home Park in Albemarle County.
Rodriguez-Recinos received a six and a half year sentence in court on Monday. Espinoza-Chavez received a lesser sentence of just under three years.
Federal prosecutors filed a downward motion for Espinoza-Chavez, suggesting a lesser penalty based on his willingness to cooperate with authorities.
Esteban Salmeron-Duque, who many have labeled as the head of the operation pleaded guilty June 13, and faces sentencing in September.
