Water and Sewer Rates Going Up in Louisa

Water and sewer rates in the town of Louisa are going up. Town council approved the $4 increase at Tuesday night's meeting.

The new rate goes into effect July 1. Town Council Member Brian Marks says the new fee is to ensure the longevity of the town's water and sewer systems.

The new rate was part of the town's budget adoption process. It passed by a vote of 4-to-1.
