UVA Football Gets Two Verbal Commitments

The Virginia football team picking up more verbal commitments for the 2012 recruiting class Saturday, as Pennsylvania quarterback Matt Johns has committed to the Cavaliers.

Johns is a 6-foot-5, 200 pound QB from Central Bucks-South high school, and chose UVA over early interest from Boston College, Penn State, and Pitt.

The Cavaliers also received a commitment from Maurice Canady, a 6-foot 160-pound athlete from Varina high school in Richmond.

The duo now makes nine players committed to Mike London's 2012 class so far.
