A photo gallery in downtown Charlottesville is paying homage to the sacrifices of our armed forces. The project called "Bedrooms of the Fallen" shows the living spaces of soldiers who died in combat.
An Australian war photographer took the pictures as an intimate look at losing someone in the military - an important concept for Charlottesville to grasp this Memorial Day.
Guest Curator Scott Thode stated, "Let's not forget. Let's not forget what this is all about really. This is about our sons and our daughters and our friends and our family and our homes and our country as a home to all of this."
The exhibit will be up near the Free Speech Wall until June 26. The photographer will be in town to speak on Friday, June 10.
