Jason Bibeau announced Saturday morning that he will run for county treasurer. He and his family live in Fishersville. Bibeau said the Board of Supervisors and those working in the treasury office have not been receptive to county taxpayers, especially following the real estate re-assessment battle in 2009.
"We're going to make the treasurer's office something people are proud to do business with. People are going to have a greater understanding of what the treasurer's office is and part of that is going to be quarterly state of treasury meetings," he explained.
Bibeau said he is determined to improve confidentiality and customer service if elected county treasurer.
