The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce held its 97th Annual Chamber Dinner Tuesday evening.
University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan was the featured speaker at the event. The dinner is a showcase for business leadership and achievement in the Charlottesville area.
The chamber awarded its prestigious Paul Goodloe McIntire Citizenship Award to prominent banker Alvin R. Clements. Among other things, Clements was a key figure in the revitalization of the Downtown Mall.
The award was established in 1975 to recognize outstanding citizen contributions to the greater Charlottesville area.
