Students discuss business Friday at the Darden School.
The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia is showing people how to get their ideas off the ground.
Through seminars and workshops, college graduates are learning about the lifecycles of a business, how to formulate ideas, and how to pitch those ideas. For some, it is an alternative to entering the tough job market.
"For those who have found job hunting difficult, certainly another option is controlling your own destiny and starting a business," said Philippe Sommer, director of the Darden School's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
This is the second year for the conference and Sommer says this year's attendance is up. The conference ends Saturday.
