The sweetest sale in Charlottesville closed its doors Sunday. The Lollipop Shop finished up their week long semi-annual sale on Sunday by clearing out thousands of used kids items.
The shop's owner said that this year's sale was particularly busy due to the economy. The Lollipop Shop not only helped out families that needed discount deals but it also helped her family-owned business.
Lollipop Shop Owner Christy Wenzel said, "Some families are just in need because the economy is so tough. We've really, really had people struggling without jobs and this is a way they are able to make a little bit of money with their clothing, get rid of it."
The next Lollipop Shop sale is scheduled for March.
