A consignment shop with a sweet name is helping out families around Charlottesville. It's time for the Lollipop Shop's semi-annual sale.
No candy is sold at the shop, but clothes, shoe and toys among other goods are sold. The items are used, but cost little.
The shop sells as much as 80,000 items each day. The family-owned business donates anything left over after the week to local charities.
Owner of the Lollipop Shop Christy Wenzel said, "It's just a great way, an easy way to help out all of these other families. Just make sure they have everything they need for their kids at an economical price."
The Lollipop Shop is open until Friday and it's located off of Route 29.
