Plans for a preservation week are underway in Albemarle County and Charlottesville. Albemarle County Supervisor David Slutzky and Charlottesville Mayor Dave Norris talked about the two groups' involvement with the effort at the kick-off Friday afternoon.
There will be walking tours and exhibits set up for people interested in finding out more about the history of the city and county. You're also encouraged to share stories about places that matter most to you by posting pictures of yourself at your special site.
"There are structures, parts of neighborhoods, areas that are integral to the fabric here of Charlottesville. It allows sort of everyone to have their say if you will," said Preservation Piedmont's Justin Sarafin.
The week officially kicks off April 3. Click on the link above to open a PDF of the schedule of events.
