NBC29 is in the business of reporting the news, but this weekend, our newscast became a story itself, thanks to technology. With our Saturday evening shows, NBC29 became Virginia's second station to broadcast in high definition. We're only the 92nd station in the nation to incorporate the technology into our newscasts.
The HD transition is the result of about five years worth of work and it comes at a pricetag of $3 million. You can catch all of our newscasts in high definition on NBC29.
Don't worry if you don't have HDTV in your home. NBC29 News will still look the way it always has.
