Colonel Steve Flaherty with the Virginia State Police said Albemarle County and state police went to a house at Yonder Hill Farm early Tuesday morning to arrest Woodson. An armed individual opened the door and challenged them. During the confrontation, a police officer shot the man twice. The man was then flown to UVA Medical Center where he underwent surgery. Police say he's in stable condition.
