For the second consecutive night, Charlottesville police say shots were fired in the Hardy Drive area.
Police say they found shell casings just after 11 Thursday night along Run Street. No one was injured. Police say they have suspects in mind but won't say who.
This comes just one day after police say 19-year-old Khalil Powell shot and killed his girlfriend, 21-year-old Sanada Monroe, in a Westhaven apartment. Powell then shot himself in the parking lot.
Neighbors say the violence is getting worse and they want police to do more about it. But police say crime numbers in that area are actually down.
