A Scottsville family returned home from vacation to find their house destroyed by flames.
Fire and rescue squads got the call at around 6:30 Sunday morning, but they say the home was probably burning for about an hour before someone saw it.
Scottsville's fire chief tells NBC29 that the middle part of the home is destroyed. Officials say the fire was accidental. They are still investigating but say lightning is a possible cause fo the fire.
Two dogs died in the fire.
