A few units of affordable senior housing are on the way in Greene County. Skyline Community Action Partnership, or CAP, bought two pieces of property that it hopes to develop.
The houses are on Jack Russell Lane in Stanardsville. Skyline CAP got the money from the Thomas Jefferson Planning District, through Greene County.
"We were able to purchase property with existing units on site, so we're in process now of looking at zoning and permits, looking at rehabbing the house and there's another building there for apartments," said Skyline CAP Executive Director Kim Frye Smith.
There is no timetable yet on when the houses will be ready for seniors to move in.
