A free dental clinic will be held in Orange County this weekend for people who lack regular care.
The Piedmont Regional Mission of Mercy plans to hold its first free dental clinic on Saturday at the Barboursville Fire House. It's expected to help up to 600 uninsured or underinsured patients.
Dental care professionals from the Virginia Dental Association, Virginia Commonwealth University and the newly formed Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic will provide cleanings, restorative dentistry and oral surgery.
Pre-registration will be held at the fire house Friday. Organizers are strongly urging people to register in advance, as patients will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis.
