'Purge Perriello' Campaign Kicks Off

Posted: Updated:

A few dozen protestors kicked off the ‘Purge Perriello’ campaign Friday morning. The group gathered outside the congressman's Charlottesville office with signs and a bullhorn.

The group calls his yes vote for the healthcare bill unconstitutional and a violation of his oath of office.

Lawrence Verga, who hopes to run against Perriello, stated, “There is no place in the constitution, certainly no place that Congressman Perriello has been able to find when questioned where the government can make you pay for a consumer commodity like healthcare.”

Lawrence Verga and other protestors also called the healthcare bill anti-American. The group plans to distribute signs and bumper stickers over the next few weeks.
