It's the high tech classroom dreams are made of for students at one Augusta county school. Wednesday, third-graders at Churchville Elementary School got their hands on nearly $50,000 worth of computers, smart boards and wi-fi servers.
The "wireless lab" was a gift from CDW Corporation and Discovery Education. Churchville was one of only five schools in the nation to win the grand prize.
Churchville Elementary Teacher Bev Roach said, “It was just the most amazing thing that our school has won the most treasured gift, for opening doors to technology to these students, and giving them an opportunity to learn and go everywhere in the world.”
Churchville Elementary teachers say the 21st century classroom will help keep their students more engaged and excited about learning.
