The independent write-in candidate for Charlottesville City Council is taking his campaign to the streets in these last hours.
Andrew Williams and his staff spent the afternoon handing out individually signed letters to voters. He says he wants to bring a new and fresh perspective to city council, especially on some of the tough issues.
Williams said, “We need to move forward on the water issues. I believe in dredging. I believe we should repair existing infrastructure. We don't have the funds, and it's not necessary to build a brand new dam. I also would like to open up the discussion for a ward system.”
Williams also plans to propose that the mayor be elected by the people, and not city council.
