Music will fill the halls of the Albemarle County Office Building Saturday night. This is all to help a family that lost their son in September.
Part of the proceeds from the first annual Charlottesville Praisefest will go to the family of 20-year old Martel "Bubbles" Brooks. Brooks collapsed at an exhibition basketball game at Monticello High School and died.
Concert organizer Ty Cooper says, "It's the right thing to do. Somebody needs help, the young man passed on at 20 years old. You can't predict that. And they're struggling."
There will gospel groups there from Charlottesville, Richmond, and Baltimore.
