Pedestrian Struck by Car

A juvenile was hit by a car in Charlottesville just before 8:00 Friday night.

Charlottesville police say a 12-year-old girl was crossing the intersection of Harris Street and Preston Avenue when she was struck by a sedan traveling east on Preston.

The girl was transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center with injuries that are considered to be non-life threatening.

Police are still investigating, no charges have been filed at this time.
