A water main broke in Lake Monticello Friday, leaving nearly 50 homes without water for most of the day. Aqua Virginia placed those homes on a "boil advisory."
The main broke at the intersection of Lafayette Drive and Bernardsburg Road. Crews worked on fixing the pipe for most of the day. Water has been restored to the homes.
Aqua Virginia says the break was most likely caused by aging infrastructure.
