NBC29First Eco-Green Harris Teeter in Crozet

Harris Teeter opened its first super eco-green store-- in Crozet.
The fully LEED certified, green chill, gold level store has a recycling center in the lobby and energy and environmental design components throughout.
Thirty percent of the building materials were manufactured regionally, 82 percent of construction waste was recycled and 50 percent of all the wood used came from certified sustainable forests.
