Nine thousand dollars worth of grants are going straight to children at Crozet Elementary School.
The money from Best Buy's Teach Award Program and the Williams Foundation Grassroots Education Grant is going toward cutting edge technology for kids. iPods will be used to create podcasts and flip video cameras will make for easy use and editing.
"It is something they live with, it's something that they use and we need to teach responsible use of it in the schools," said gifted resource teacher Paula White.
The awards are given to schools considered to be successful leaders in integrating technology into their curriculum. Crozet Elementary is one of only 17 schools in the state to receive the award.
