Charlottesville's "Cookie Man" hopes the dough he mixes every day will help draw in the dough to build homes. Tuesday night kicked off the Doubletree Hotel's annual Cookies for a Cause fundraiser, which helps out Habitat for Humanity.
Each cookie sold now through the New Year will go to the organization that is dear to the "Cookie Man" himself.
"The people need these homes right now. For Habitat for Humanity, they need these families because these families need these homes," said Greg Holder, Charlottesville's self-proclaimed "Cookie Man."
Last year, the group pulled together $1,300. They hope to top $1,500 this year.
