Virginia Senate Approves Early Voting Bill

Posted: Updated:

Monday, the state senate approved a bill that would bring early voting to Virginia. Senators voted 29-to-11 to approve the measure.

The measure would allow early voting starting 15 days before every general election. Voters could cast early ballots, without an excuse, until the Saturday before Election Day.

The bill now heads to the House of Delegates.
