Hazmat crews from Harrisonburg to Charlottesville practiced for a bio-terror threat Wednesday.
A mock drill played out where Harrisonburg police discovered a rogue lab that was being used to create mass quantities for poison. Hazmat crews dismantled the lab while members of the FBI, National Guard and state police tested their response.
"It's a good chance for everybody to get to know each other so if there's ever a real incident we're meeting each other for the second time, third time, not the first time," explained Ron Raab, JMU bio-tech professor.
A critical part of the training included properly collecting evidence for prosecution.
