City Council Sells Historic School

Charlottesville's historic Jefferson School has been sold. Monday night, city council approved the sale to Jefferson School Community Partnership. The group that will renovate the school.

The sale will allow the school to qualify for tax relief on the needed renovations.

The Jefferson School property received state and national historic designation in February. The historic value of the property dates back to the 1800's.
