The tea party happened at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library.
An old fashioned tea party in Staunton celebrated a Victorian Valentine's Day a little early on Saturday.
A group of little girls got together at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library for spiced tea, scones, and cucumber sandwiches.
A tea party is traditionally what young girls did to celebrate the Valentine's holiday in the Victorian Era.
Karen Church, who organized the tea party said, "We're always looking for activities to get children involved in history. We want them to know that history can be fun."
Organizers tied the event in with Samantha, a character from the American Girl Doll series. In the stories, she lived around the early 1900s and also enjoyed tea parties.
