One of the largest corn mazes in the country is preparing for its grand opening in Orange County Saturday. Liberty Mills Farm in Somerset will feature a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, dozens of family games and activities but the main attraction is the 20-acre corn maze.

Liberty Mills Farm Corn Maze

Liberty Mills Farms owners Kent and Evie Woods take a walk through their very own "field of dreams", a 20-acre corn maze that was nothing more than a wild idea two years ago.

Evie Woods stated, "We had been looking for something to do that we both loved and enjoyed doing."

That something would soon become Liberty Mills Farm - offering 110 acres of family fun. The corn was planted in the beginning of June with the maze taking shape after countless hours of hard work.

Kent Woods said, "The corn maze was actually cut in by hand - not with machines or GPS, but by hand."

Now, the Woods' are putting the finishing touches on the maze, hoping to make it perfect before the first guests arrive on Saturday. The patriotic maze is cut in the form of the Liberty Bell, a bald eagle, and a 1,000 foot Statue of Liberty.

Liberty Mills Farm will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday which also happens to be Patriot Day.
