Virginia football coach Mike London is set to add another member to his coaching staff, as Jim Reid will be hired as the Cavaliers' defensive coordinator, according to multiple sources.

Reid is currently the Miami Dolphins linebackers coach.

He spent nine years as the head coach at Richmond, where he went 48-53-1 with the Spiders.

The 60-year-old coach also spent time as an assistant at Boston College, Syracuse, and Bucknell.

Reid was the head coach at VMI in 2006 and 2007, where he went 3-19 in two seasons as the Keydets' head coach.

He was also the head coach at UMass for six seasons beginning in 1986.

Reid joined the Dolphins and the NFL for the first time in 2008.

Miami's season ended Sunday with a 30-24 loss at home to Pittsburgh.
