Richard Noles, a former track coach at Nelson County High School, was in a Charlottesville courtroom Tuesday to plead guilty to sex charges.
Noles made his appearance and entered his guilty plea, admitting to taking indecent liberties with a minor.
Investigators say the former Nelson County track coach solicited sex from one of his athletes, a 16-year-old girl. Noles was originally charged with soliciting a minor through text messages by Nelson County investigators and was charged two days later by Charlottesville police with taking indecent liberties with the same girl.
Noles will be sentenced on April 7, 2010. The judge has asked for a victim impact statement to be done before then.
