Former secretary of transportation Norman Mineta says the United States has made great strides in preventing future terrorist attacks, especially as it concerns commercial airlines.
Norman Mineta said, "I think we've done a very good job. The Department of Homeland Security has done a good job, they continue plugging holes."
Mineta served on the 9-11 commission. He is visiting UVA's Miller Center of Public Affairs Friday as part of a two day round-table discussion on the nation's transportation needs.
