  • Memorable Interview: Since I have been at NBC 29, I have been able to interview David Gregory (Meet the Press), Michael Steele (RNC Chair), and Husain Haqqani (Pakistan's Ambassador to the US), among many local news makers. But, I still have to say John Grisham.
  • Dream Interview: Miley Cyrus. Kidding. I would love to pick the brains of a lot of people. Of course a candid interview with the president will always be near the top of the list.
  • Dream Job: I would love to be part of the Today Show crew! They seem to have so much fun, but still manage to keep viewers informed.
  • Most rewarding part of your job: It's my job to ask questions! I love being able to recognize those who are rising above adversity, opening their hearts, and making the world a better place. It's also gratifying to keep members of the community up to date, from road closures and a shady businesses to the area's economic health.
  • Favorite TV show: My DVR is constantly working. I'm into a lot of shows. Comedy, drama, reality, you name it. As of right now, my favorite is probably 30 Rock. My favorite of all time is Seinfeld.
  • Role Model: On a professional level, Meredith Vieira. She is an amazing journalist, and she loves her job. Her intelligence and fun personality really come across well. But when it comes to the way I live my life, I'm fortunate to have many strong women to look up to.
  • Why I'm A Journalist: I've always been curious by nature, and reporting is a perfect match for that part of my personality. It is so important for people to be well informed about the world around them. I want to do my part in making sure that happens. Not to mention, I'll also talk to anyone who will listen!
  • Alma Mater: Western Illinois University
  • Hometown: Galesburg, IL
  • Hobbies: I spend a lot of my time reading, catching up on TV, and spending time with my husband and our dog. Recently I've started running again, after a 6 month hiatus. I forgot how difficult it is to start over!
  • Favorite Food: Chinese.
  • Favorite Sports Team: My favorite sports team is a toss-up between the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Both can be pretty depressing to root for, but I can't change!
  • Favorite Musician: I don't think I can pick just one! I listen to a lot of everything, but if you were counting songs, Garth Brooks probably dominates my iPod
  • Favorite Authors: Yet another hard question! I love fiction, and three of my favorites are Larry McMurtry, John Grisham and Joe Lansdale. There are many others...
  • Favorite Vacation Spot: Definitely Holden Beach, NC. We have gone there every year, since I was 8!
