Forecast from Meteorologist Eric Pritchett:

High pressure building toward and over the Mid-Atlantic region for the late week, will make for some dry, pleasant days. Thursday and Friday mostly sunny, less humid and highs in the 80s.

The humidity and chance for wet weather will make a return for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Warm and noticeably more humid Saturday. A dry start, but a few storms likely to develop later Saturday afternoon and evening. Moisture working northward from the Gulf, will make for more numerous showers and storms as we move into Sunday and Memorial Day Monday. It will not likely rain all the time, but unsettled conditions. A disturbance in the Caribbean Sea could become better organized over the next several days as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico. Regardless, of whether this becomes a depression or possibly named storm, the moisture from this system will stream northward into the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic into next week. This could make for another bout of some heavy rainfall. Something to watch.
